MSD is excited to announce the next generation of 6-Series ignition controls – the 6AL-2!

The all new ignition control combines a new housing, new digital controls and more power in a sleek package. Inside the new cast aluminum housing you'll find an advanced micro-controller that manages the timing and rpm of the ignition. The spark output of the new box has been turned up to 535 volts of primary voltage with spark energy reaching up to 135millijoules!

The multiple sparks of the 6AL-2 burn in the cylinder for 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation to ensure complete combustion.Two more great features are the rev limits!

The MSD Ignition app offers an all new outlet for customer help even when our tech lines are closed. We took the Wiring Diagrams and Tech Guide book and broke it down so that anyone can view it from their cell phone! In the first version users have the option of scrolling through 25 different sections to start. Each section offers sets of instructions and/or wiring diagrams that go together to make work on MSD parts a breeze.

The app puts an MSD tech in your pocket with a directory of more than 150 wiring guides to help customers out in a pinch. Best of all, a favorites list makes it easy for users to narrow their search to only the items they own. No need to scroll through all of the options! Another great feature of the app is the dealer locator.
